My little sister and brother-in-law are hardcore when it comes to entertaining. They have friends over all the time and my sister is constantly cooking up new concoctions to challenge her skills and wow her guests at the same time. With the holiday season in full swing, they recently invited my husband and me over for a double date night, told me to bring drinks, and with a giggle noted that I did not need to worry about bringing a dish; she likes to rub it in that she is a better cook than I am. Hello, she went to culinary school … she should be better! 😉
I just knew that this evening would be the best time to bring my own “wow” to the party. I recently received Curva Artisan Double Wall Glasses by Ozeri for review and have to say that I fell in love with them almost immediately. The set includes four handmade, double-wall thermos glasses that hold 8 ounces and are each uniquely designed. They are absolutely adorable!
I have been using my glasses since they arrived and I am yet to be disappointed. We have served drink after drink in them, punch, hot cocoa, soda, coffee, and perhaps a fun mixed drink or two to name a few, and at no point in time have the glasses shown condensation or caused our hands to get hot or cold. They look attractive coming out of the box and are even more eye catching after adding colorful drinks.
My sister got a kick out of the glasses. Ha, ha, little sis … I have made skills too!! It may have helped that I really played up the drink making and turned out holiday spirts into a real event but who am I to question what really make her like them? Needless to say, fun was had by all, and I may or may not have needed my husband to drive me home. Hey, there is nothing wrong with indulging every once in a while, as long as it is done in a safe and intelligent manner.
The glasses are said to be completely dishwasher, microwave, and freezer safe. I have tested them in the microwave and freezer with no problem but I have been avoiding the dishwasher at all costs. Some double-walled products tend to breakdown after being placed in the dishwasher numerous times and I don’t want to risk my glasses getting ruined; they are simply too cute! I did notice that a few reviews made note of a problem where water seeped between the two layers but that has not been our experience, at least not to date.
The glasses are also made of a heat and shatter resistant borosilicate glass, which is stronger and more durable than common glass, so it should survive a fall. I believe this means the classes should survive a fall from a kitchen table but the top of the Eiffel Tower may be asking a bit much. 😉
I plan to continue to use our Curva Artisan glasses often because they are an easy, go-to product that I know won’t leave a wet ring on my wooden furniture and cause damage, burn my little ones fingers when I give her a little bit of hot chocolate to enjoy on a cold day, or risk dropping from my hand due to condensation. This is a great product and one that I am thrilled to have received. I have been eyeing the sets that come in larger sizes as well; hopefully my husband has picked up on my hints!
