The holiday season is upon us. And that means one thing. Parties. And family. And decorating. And shopping. And baking. And lights. And skating. And more shopping. And cooking.
Ok, so that really means like nine things – which means the holidays can be hectic! It would be nice if there were a way to balance all that hecticity (yes, that’s a real word, I just made it up) with some simplicity. And there is, Discount Drug Mart. The thing is, it’s true.
How do I know? Because I’ve been there. I don’t mean the store. Well, I do mean the store as well, because I have been there. It would be hard to know it’s true if I hadn’t actually been to the store. That would just be guessing that it’s true, instead of knowing it’s true. I really mean the situation. You know, you’ve probably been there too.
You’re planning a party and you need to go to one store to get some adult beverages and another store to get mixers and another store to get decorations and another store to get ingredients for your appetizers. But then you find out that there is one store where you can get all of it, and that store is Discount Drug Mart. So, when we needed to start planning our first get together of the season, Discount Drug Mart was the first stop on my list.
For our first holiday party (yes, once Halloween is over we switch into fully Holiday mode) we wanted to come up with some fun drinks for our friends, and Discount Drug Mart was the place we went to for all our adult beverage needs. Was it successful? I’ll let you be the judge of that. We have a couple simple but tasty drinks we tried out (hint: our friends loved them).
Cranberry Apple Cider Holiday Punch
Cranberry Juice
Apple Cider
Champagne
Mix 2 parts chilled cranberry juice, 2 parts chilled Cook’s Champagne, and 1 part chilled apple cider. Garnish with some fresh cranberries and an apple slice. 
Cranberry Orange Punch
Cranberry Juice
Orange Juice
Truly Sicilian Blood Orange Hard Seltzer
Mix 2 parts chilled cranberry juice, 1 part orange juice (bonus if you can find and juice some blood oranges), and 2 parts Truly Sicilian Blood Orange Hard Seltzer. Throw in some fresh cranberries and garnish with a slice of orange.
Feel free to make these on demand or mix up a pitcher before the party.
