You’ve probably heard the commercials. They’re usually pretty entertaining. I admit I’ve liked their commercials for years but never been to the restaurant. The other night I finally went to Bonefish Grill.
To say it was an outstanding experience would be an understatement.
We started off with the Bang-Bang Shrimp. Now I’ve been hearing about this thing on the radio forever. You know what I thought? It’s shrimp. Why are they hyping it so much? Yeah, then I actually ate it. Or I should say my husband did. He started eating the Bang-Bang Shrimp and didn’t stop. He plowed through the appetizer. And I can understand why. Wow!! Bang-Bang shrimp is AWESOME!!
For dinner I ordered the Spinach Bacon Gorgonzola Atlantic Salmon off their Special Menu. The hubby ordered the Spring Basil Fettuccine off their New Menu.
I don’t even know how to describe the salmon.
These are all appropriate yet somehow seem to lack. I even had to fight off the hubby, who is not a fan of salmon. The Spring Basil Fettuccine was filled with fresh vegetables, like artichoke and asparagus. Let me be clear here. The hubby doesn’t eat artichoke or asparagus; unless the artichoke is buried in spinach dip. But normally he doesn’t eat it. After he wolfed down most of the bang-bang shrimp he attacked his fettuccine.
The kid’s menu is diverse as well. My little one ordered chicken tenders and asked me if that was okay since mommy had been talking about eating yummy fish all day. Since I’m so quick witted I told her that was just fine because in the wise words of Dory from the movie Finding Nemo, “Fish are friends, not food!” Hey … she thought I was funny! 😉
Finally the moment we had been waiting for arrived … dessert! I had the Macadamia Nut Brownie. Or should I say my daughter did. The 2 bites I had were awesome. I imagine my husband’s Coconut pie was pretty good based on how much was left over. Oh wait, there wasn’t any left over. Well, maybe next time. And trust me when I say, there WILL be a next time.
Have you been to Bonefish Grill? What is your favorite thing to order? Have you tried their new menu? It is ah-maz-ing!
I had to share pictures of what we ate! I apologize that they aren’t amazingly fancy but …
everything was super YUMMY!
I did enjoy a beer at dinner but my husband drove me home. Please drink responsibly.
