I remember growing up when I was junior or senior in high school, my parents had a bar in the basement, now we may or may not have stolen a drink here or there of their vodka. And then we may have replaced it with water. Why am I telling you this? Well it’s because my parents drank vodka that was cheap enough that apparently they didn’t even notice or they thought it was my older sister so they just kept their mouth shut. So vodka was pretty well ruined for me in to my adult life from one to many nights filled with vodka.
It was for this reason that I was a little unsure of trying new vodka. So to make it better I mixed it with my favorite Bloody Mary mix. And what I did was actually more of a taste test. I took some very cheap grocery store vodka and then Leaf Organic Vodka and mixed the same amounts with Bloody Mary mix and had my husband mix them up so I wouldn’t know which drink had what.
I took a sip of one and it was pretty good. I took a drink of next one and the flavor was so very different. The taste of all of the spices seemed to be smoother and come more alive. I know it sounds crazy right, but as someone who only drinks cheap vodka in Bloody Mary’s it was a whole new experience.
LEAF Organic Vodka one being distilled from an Alaskan Glacier and the other from Rocky Mountain Mineral Water. Hmmm…very intriguing. Over all the experience with this product was great! I didn’t get a head ache from having more than one Bloody Mary like I normally do. I just may start to branch out with vodka now, maybe even with orange juice next time!
