I’ve said before that I love games that make my daughter smart. And that make her look smarter than the hubby. Anything that makes her think outside the box is a win. Although I’m not really sure what “thinking outside the box” really means. Who is thinking inside the box? If you’re thinking doesn’t that generally mean you are trying to solve a problem? If you had the solution then you wouldn’t be thinking. So it logically follows that if you are thinking about something in general you are thinking outside the box because thinking inside the box means you aren’t thinking, you’re just existing.
But I digress. Gravity Maze is an intriguing new game. It combines my daughter’s love of building and her love for all things marble. And by Marble I don’t mean tile. I mean the annoying little hard round objects that are forever conspiring to kill my feet or make me fall down. You start off with a card showing where your marble must stop and where it must start. You then have to place the towers in such a manner that the marble moves (from top to bottom) from the start point to the end point. Sounds easy right? Not so much when you have to use 6 pieces to go two places. Fortunately the back of each card contains the solution. What was I talking about? Oh yeah, the Kardashians are about to come on, I need to think inside the box for a bit.
