Finding Nemo is one of my favorite movies. And the hubby. To this day he still tears up at certain parts of the movie. There’s something powerful about losing a child and then finding them that speaks to all parents. Now imagine if your child forgot you. I mean like literally forgot about you. In Finding Dory we get to see that some memories cannot be truly lost forever. In Finding Nemo she was a side character, a bit of comic relief. Oh who hasn’t had a forgetful friend? But in Finding Dory we see that it is something more. We finally get to see Dory’s journey to regain that little piece of herself that was lost, but never truly forgotten.

It has been some time since Marlin and Nemo returned to the reef with their new friend Dory. She has adjusted to life on the reef, but still there is something troubling her. After watching the annual sting ray migration Dory begins to realize that she was a family and needs to find them and convinces Marlin and Nemo to help her. As they journey from the reef to the Jewel of Morro Bay California they encounter some old friend (Cruuuuush) and have some new adventures and make some new friends (I love Hank). Along the way they happen to teach a powerful lesson about the value everyone brings to your life, whether they are struggling with a disability or not.

FINDING DORY – When Dory finds herself in the Marine Life Institute, a rehabilitation center and aquarium, Hank—a cantankerous octopus—is the first to greet her. Featuring Ed O'Neill as the voice of Hank and Ellen DeGeneres as the voice of Dory, "Finding Dory" opens on June 17, 2016. ©2016 Disney•Pixar. All Rights Reserved.

Do you happen to remember a certain trailer where Dory was sleep swimming? My hubby does. You can find that and a whole bunch of other deleted scenes as well as behind the scenes features. Have you ever wanted an aquarium but hated the thought of all that maintenance? The Bonus features include several very serene ocean views (check out the sting-ray migration).
