Bonefish Grill ~ Celebrating Happy Hour with Bar Bites & Cocktails

by Erik

Hey hey party people it’s Bonefish time again. That’s right. We made another trip out to our local Bonefish Grill to sample their new Happy Hour and it was so good we are currently trying to figure out when we can manage to get back out there. So what did they have in store for us this time? Read on to find out.

So let’s be clear to start off, this is Happy Hour so it’s from 4 to 6:30 pm, but don’t worry if you can’t get out during your busy work week, they are doing it every day of the week. Need to get some early grub in on the weekend before you go see a movie? Bonefish is perfect. Need somewhere to chill for a couple hours while enjoying some delicious treats (at a reasonable price) and tasty drinks? Bonefish is perfect.

So what was on the menu? To start off with the wife and I ordered a couple adult cocktails. It is Happy Hour after all. I had the Blood Orange Paloma and the wifey had the Blackberry Red Sangria. I’m trying to think of a good pun to use to describe them, but all I can come up with is sangrialicious which sounds kind of lame and doesn’t do justice to these drinks, but trust me they were both super yummy. And in case you were wondering, that was not some weird camera effect, the glass really is crooked.

Then came the food. I only have three words to describe it. A May. Zing. Seriously. We ordered the Alaskan Cod Sliders, Wagyu Beef Sliders, Crispy Au Gratin Tots, Ahi Tuna Poke and Crispy Calamari. No offense to the Mussels Josephine, I’m sure they are also amazing, but I don’t do clams, oysters or mussels.

To put it simply, it’s hard to start with one thing in particular since they were all so good. The Ahi Tuna Poke was served with these little half circle crispy tortilla chips. It literally brought me back to our vacation in Hawaii two years ago. Talk about a delicious memory trigger.

Then there was the crispy Au Gratin Tots. What’s not to love? Deep Fried Cheesy potatoey yumminess (yes I use a lot of fancy culinary terms).

Our next sampling was the Alaskan Cod Sliders; perfectly crispy and flaky Alaskan cod on tiny little slider buns. I love me some fish and chips, but next time I might just get a couple orders of these sliders instead.

Last but not least are the Wagyu Beef Slider. The Wagyu Beef Sliders were literally like the perfect little burger. The beef was flavorful and perfectly cooked.

Ok, you will have to excuse me; I think I need to head back to Bonefish. I’m hungry again
