I have tried many all natural oils but none compare to the diversity of tea tree oil. Before trying Apothecary Tea Tree Oil I did a little research and found that there are so many uses in this one bottle that I was simply amazed. I was introduced to a couple of different recipes for a hair mask and a face wash. The first thing that came to mind was SPA NIGHT! We all like to feel pampered every now and then! So I mixed up a combination of avocado, honey, coconut oil, olive oil, and tea tree oil. I thought wow I am putting a salad on my head! I mixed up the strange concoction and put it on my damp hair. I turned myself into a left over and wrapped my hair in plastic wrap and let it set for 45 minutes. I noticed that my scalp felt a little tingly but not to the point of being uncomfortable by any means. It was really almost pleasantly relaxing. Once I rinsed the salad mixture out of my hair, which is normally coarse because it is so thick, it felt extremely touchably (is that a real word?) soft. I can’t wait to do this one again!
Since the hair mask went off without a hitch, I also mixed up a little face wash and it felt amazing on my skin. My eyes burned a little from the potency of the tea tree oil but again it wasn’t awful or enough to make me remove the wash right away. I tend to get dry spots around my nose and my eye brows. After my face wash I noticed that my skin felt amazingly soft. Since the mixture bothered my eyes the face wash is not something that I would do often; however, I definitely plan on starting this regimen on a weekly basis.
