Makeup, hmm, yeah, that is a touchy subject with me. When shopping for something for my body or even more importantly for my face I want to know what it is going to do and how it is going to make my skin react. Anytime I try a new mineral pressed foundation I am a little nervous and that was the case when I tried Ageless Derma Pressed Mineral Foundation. I have sensitive skin, VERY sensitive skin, so I am always looking for something that is light. As an individual with sensitive skin I don’t wear a lot of heavy products or heavy makeup.
After examining the closed product for about ten minutes, I kid you not; I opened it, removed the plastic protector, and sniffed the powder. Yep, you read that right, I smelled the powder. Think about it, who wants to put something on their face that smells awful? I have to say the pressed foundation smells great! It has a very natural, pleasant smell. I won’t mention that I continued to smell it because it liked it so much … nope, let’s not get into that!
Ahem, back to what you really want to know, HOW DOES IT FEEL ON MY FACE? As soon as I put the foundation on it eliminated my shine! After a day outside and it being warm and humid I have a really nice shine going! As soon as I applied the foundation it disappeared. I’m also thrilled to share that I didn’t have a negative reaction to the makeup; that’s saying something! Two thumbs up, positive. So, now you are asking yourself, with all the positives are there any negatives? Someone with sensitive skin surely should be able to point SOMETHING out, right?
The only thing I don’t like about this product is the sponge that came with it. I am more of a brush kind of gal. In my opinion, when using a sponge one tends to waste a lot of the product. Using a powder brush allows me to control the amount I am applying to my face and it results in a more flawless look. BUT, that is just my opinion. Other than that, this product is great!
