Sorry mom, point blank, this will be the ONLY way we make our sauce from now on. The Red Gold not only brightened up the flavors in the sauce but I love the extra chunk that it added to the overall meal. More importantly, my favorite part, the basil really popped!
Once our meat was browned we added our sauce (add in your favorite sauce or one purchased from the store) and let the combination simmer and meld together. We then added a can of Red Gold diced tomatoes, without draining the liquid, and brought it to a boil. The meat sauce itself was very tasty. I admit that I found myself eating it right on the garlic bread! I can’t wait to try the other flavors that come in the Red Gold Diced Tomatoes family. Next, I plan on making TACOS, my daughter’s second favorite dish to make!
To support our review we received a Red Gold Summer Grillin’ Party Kit which contained two cans of Red Gold Petite Diced Tomatoes with Lime Juice and Cilantro, one can of Red Gold Petite Diced Tomatoes with Garlic and Olive Oil, Red Gold Diced Petite Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies, and one can of Red Gold Petite Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic, and Oregano.
To try Red Gold head out to her favorite grocery store and pick up a can or two! What is your favorite flavor or Red Gold?
