I’m a sucker for a feel-good movie. And bonus points if there are animals. Or babies. Or animals and babies. Now Gigi & Nate isn’t your traditional feel-good movie, even though it has an animal (but no babies). In fact, it starts off downright depressing. I mean really depressing. And then it gets uplifting. And for a while it is a feel-good movie. Then it gets depressing again. Like, shake your faith in humanity depressing. I mean, I’m not against animal rights groups, but this movie shows that sometimes, peoples priorities are a little screwed up.
So, without giving everything away, I’m going to say this is a very good movie. There are parts that are hard to watch. Not because they are gruesome or violent, but because they will make you shake your fist at the injustice. I laughed, I cried. It is a movie worth seeing

In this uplifting drama inspired by actual events, Nate (Charlie Rowe) suffers a near-fatal illness and is left a quadriplegic just weeks before departing for college.
