Ok, so I don’t camp, but bear with me. Imagine being out in the middle of the woods. You have a roaring campfire going. The kids are asleep in their tents. You and your significant other decide you would like some entertainment. You’re alone in the middle of the woods, what should you do? Hmmm, how about stringing up a sheet between two trees as a makeshift screen and watching a movie. Or maybe you don’t camp (like me) and you’re just tired of sitting inside. It’s a nice night out, you want to go watch Star Wars: The Force Awakens outside against your house. You could start setting up a table and getting extension cords and bringing out a DVD player (or computer) and hooking it all up to your heavy old projector and worry about everything getting tangled. Or you can bring out your ZTE SPRO 2 Wireless Smart Projector, turn it on, and start watching.
I have to admit. I was almost giddy when I got this thing out of the box. I’m used to dealing with digital projectors at work. But the ZTE SPRO 2 Projector is something else entirely. I was literally up and running, watching Star Wars in about 5 minutes. You know why? It has the Android operating system. Just like my phone and tablet. Here’s how it went. I booted the projector. Connected to my Wi-Fi. Logged into my gmail account. Opened up the Google Play Store. Downloaded one app. Selected the movie I wanted to watch. Hit play. Did I mention no cord? This projector has a battery that can last you a whole movie. Coming from the land of projectors that require a cord, that is pretty impressive to me. Did I need to focus? No. It autofocuses. It was literally me on a blanket in the grass, and the projector on a small table. Oh and my family was there somewhere too. I think. I don’t know. I was watching the movie. Not going to be near Wi-Fi? Download the movies you want for offline viewing on the projector’s 16 GB of internal storage. Or expand that with a micro sd card. The possibilities are practically endless. I’ll be honest. Ever since I set this projector up, I’m not sure I ever want to go back to watching TV on a…TV.
