Smart Cookies Game Review #foxmind

I’ve said before that the hubby is the smartest person I know. And I’ve also said before that I love it when our 5 year old shows him up. And I also really love educational games that confuse the hubby and give my daughter the chance to learn without realizing she is doing something educational.

And so I absolutely love Smart Cookies.

Smart Cookies is an interesting but fun logic game. Kind of like Sudoku but with cookies instead of numbers! Now don’t worry, they aren’t real cookies. Those would get eaten or broken up real quick. But on the other hand, since they aren’t real cookies, you don’t want little kids to eat them, and they will, so make sure your kids are old enough.

So how do you play? Pretty easily. You have nine different cookies, various colors and shapes. You have a game board (duh). And you have a book. The book consists of various puzzles you have to solve by placing the cookies. It gives you clues and you have to deduce the location of where to place the remaining cookies on the board. Sounds Simple Right?

Hahaha. Not so simple as it seems at first. Well, actually at first it is as simple as it seems. The puzzles get gradually harder but start out pretty easy at first. Now as I said, the hubby is terrible at Sudoku, so since this is like Sudoku he’s terrible at it. My daughter? Well after she got over gushing about the “cute little cookies” and went in and “made” a batch like in Kids Baking Championship she came back in and thoroughly spanked the hubby. “Daddy, that purple one doesn’t go there!!!” Yeah, I was cracking up.

Winning!

Suduko drove me crazy. At first, I thought, I'm not good at math, forget it. Then I realized it's a process of elimination. Changing the way I thought about it made it a cinch.Kids sure can knock us down a peg! The things that the little ones know about technology blows me away! I can't even cut and paste. I only use a computer for this, contests.
