KitchCo® Heat Resistant Meat Handling Claws – Set of Two Review #bbqclaws

Lift, Transfer, Mix, and Shred

I like a well-balanced diet that includes all four food groups: Pork, Chicken, Steak and Turkey. What can I say? I’m a meat kinda girl. One of my favorites is barbeque, especially pulled pork. Anything slow cooked so it is super tender really gets me going. Brisket, ribs, pulled pork, shredded chicken. Yummmmm!! And while I’m not a master griller or barbeque champion with my own motorized smoker pit on wheels, I have been known to do the occasional Pork loin in the crock pot overnight. It’s not perfect but it does a pretty good job. I have also been known to get an occasional rotisserie chicken and have the hubby shred that up to make chicken salad (it’s not fancy but for some reason he makes an awesome chicken salad).

There is a downside to this however. When you have a really big honking piece of meat, it can be hard to handle effectively (and get your mind out of the gutter, that’s not what I mean, you there with the huge smirk on your face, I’m talking to you). Getting it out of the crock pot is not easy. To start off with it is usually a tight fit. Then consider the fact that it is really hot (seriously ladies, out of the gutter).

I used to have to resort to some sort of forks or tongs to try and get it out. But none of those ever really worked that well, but now I have the answer. Meat Claws.

So simple, yet so effective. Sturdy plastic handles that end in six pointy claws. They’re strong and give you the grip you need to get that meat out without burning your hands or bending up yet another serving fork. Just don’t let your children get a hold of them. Pulled pork that tastes like dirt because your child decided to play “dig like a badger in the back yard” is not that tasty. Neither is ”Let’s play X-Men…oops that’s bleeding” shredded chicken.
