I have a confession to make. I just haven’t felt like doing any work at all tonight. I’ve sat here and looked at what needed to get done tonight and “doing” just was not at the top of my list; have I mentioned how long my to-do list is? Feeling less than motivated, I picked up this little silver box with fancy black writing and looked at it. I then proceeded to shrug, open the box, and my first thought was … OH! So pretty! I opened the lip gloss and as I touched the applicator to my lips I did a double take because I thought it was broken. The EnvyDerm applicator for the gloss is a flexible sponge but it is flat in the middle. My thought, “Hmm, that’s different, I like it!” As I went back to applying my gloss I was hit with a sudden overwhelming sense of happiness. Yeah, I know, a lip gloss that causes happiness … it’s the simple things in life! It is really true, the gloss went on so smooth that it was actually enjoyable to apply.
I also noticed a minty smell to the gloss as I applied the shimmery pink color to the lips. This must be the menthol that the gloss contains. The best part is it didn’t cause my lips to burn. I have tried a lot of plumping glosses and a lot of them have an ingredient that causes my lips to burn or at least tingle uncomfortably. I’ve always thought, “Well, it is burning so it must be working, right?” The truth is that must have been the alcohol in the product that was also working to dry out my lips. A lot of lip products cause your lips to dry out due to the high alcohol content. This is done on purpose so you will NEED the product to “help” your lips. In reality, you are just hurting your lips more due to the continued use. My lips actually felt cool after applying the EnvyDerm Lip Plumping gloss. My lips didn’t burn at all and after wearing the gloss for over an hour my lips still feel great. They feel moist and the color although not as pink (Rose Bleu) as the tube still shimmers and is very vibrant.
I am thankful for this product as it has turned my whole night around completely. Even though I am sitting here in my pajamas, I’m feeling sexy and even sent my hubs a few pouty selfies while he is working an unplanned late night. Oh yeah, work it girl! 😉
