My daughter likes going to the zoo. Every time she goes she loves to see all the exotic animals: the squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, pigeons, and the occasional deer. You know, all of the exotic animals. Oh, she also likes the giraffes, I think. Since she loves animals, like most kids do, we thought it would be nice to expand her horizon away from the mundane urban fauna she normally sees, but she can’t read yet and I don’t want to just point her at her iPad.
Enter Animal Trackers Club. I swear the person who came up with this was reading my daughter’s mind, which is kind of scary actually. Animal Trackers Club is a monthly subscription that delivers everything my child loves in one package of awesomeness. We began with the starter package and the first month’s animal. First you start off with a lunch box. An old school metal lunch box! Not one of these modern, fancy insulated sack things. Next you have your mandatory stickers. These are the self sticky foam kind, so she can stick them to the African Savannah card and pose them and reuse them. After that there is a picture based information card to teach you about the savannah.
The first monthly animal included with our starter set was the zebra. It comes with a magnet, zebra mask, zebra figurine, fact card, games. I’m not going to tell you everything that comes in the package. Not because it’s not fun, but because it would just end up being this huge list of stuff. Just remember, lunch box, stickers, magnet, the perfect trifecta for my kid. The only thing that could make it more perfect would be if it came with a puppy.
