I hate taking pills! Be it medications, vitamins, or other over the counter concoctions, I am just not a fan. Unfortunately, the truth is, I have been taking such items for such a long time that I do not even remember when I originally started. It is so bad that I often refer to myself as a pill factory. I take daily vitamins, medication for high blood pressure (yes, I am in my early thirties and I have high blood pressure), a few pills for personal reasons, and I recently added in a medication or two to ummm hmmm help boost our chances of conceiving. Hey, we have no secrets on this blog, do we?!? Back to my pill factory … in addition to being on so many medications/vitamins, I often forget to take both on a daily basis. In fact, as I sit here typing this, I just remembered that I did not take my vitamins or medication today. Nope, I am not making that up for the sake of this post; I seriously didn’t so hopefully I will remember to do so prior to going to bed.

Let me explain that the forgetfulness is so bad that I had resorted to carrying all of my pills around with me at all times. We are talking like 8 bottles of different colored, little pills floating around in my purse. Yeah, that did not work out very well as I would end up finding 6 of the 8 bottles and miss out on my blood pressure medication. Then, I got the bright idea of carrying around a plastic grocery bag. Do you know how cool you look when you are sitting at a lunch table at work and you whip out a plastic grocery bag full of pill bottles in front of your coworkers? We are talking cool points galore. Nobody ever looked at me like I was insane … nope … they wouldn’t dare because with all of the pills I take, they had no idea if any of them were for insanity. Just a hint … it is likely at least one or three of the bottles are.

Needless to say, much like this post, my vitamins and medications were a jumbled mess. I needed a fix, I needed to upgrade to adulthood, and I needed to take responsibility for remembering to gather and take my vitamins.

Enter the Zip-A-Round Zippered Travel Pill Case.

The Zip-A-Round Travel Pill Case provides a handy dandy and elegant way of carrying your medications and supplements on the go. The patented design guarantees that the pills will never spill while also protecting them from harmful light and moisture that is known to degrade potency.

So, you are wondering how this has helped me? Easy peasy! My husband set three alarms on my cellphone that go off daily. The first one goes off at night and reminds me to actually LOAD my pill case and put it in my purse. I then get the second alarm mid-morning that tells me to take my medication and a third alarm mid-afternoon that reminds me to take my vitamins. Now, when I pull my travel pill case out, people simply ooh and ahh over how pretty my case is, they then either crack a joke about my old “pill bag” or the number of medications that I take, and then they immediately hush because they remember that one or some of the pills may be for a mental condition. Overall, it is a win, win for everyone!
