My beard can be an out of control mess of hair, especially in the morning after a night of tossing and turning. To compare it, at that time, to a wild field of unkempt grass would be a good comparison. Normally a few handfuls of water tossed in my face and a quick comb through with my fingers will satisfy me. Unfortunately that is something I need to do rather frequently throughout the day. This is so because after a short time my majestic chin mane becomes rather fluffy and still somewhat out of control.

Enter Wild Willie’s Beard Butter commonly known as beard balm, beard oil, or even mustache wax. With a few finger swipes of the wax I only need one application in the morning. My beard becomes a well manicure patch of hair through the whole day. The combination of Shea butter, beeswax and almond oil gave my beard a most glorious shine to it. The wax also gives my facial hair a rather nice soft feeling to it. This was something I never got with just the water, finger comb combination.

Don’t let the small tin of butter fool you. There is more than enough in the 2 ounce container to last you a long while. This was something I was concerned about when first seeing the product. With that said the first time I used it I may have went a bit over board. I quickly realized that only a small amount will do even for a person with a fuller beard. With that said I highly recommend smaller amounts at one time.

I do wish there were perhaps a few other scents that where available. Although I did enjoy the smell of the butter in the tin, having it very close to my nose all day did leave me wishing for a more pleasant smell. However if you fancy the smell of Vicks- this is what it reminded me of- then no other scent will be needed.

All and all I was very satisfied with Wild Willie’s product and highly recommend this to any man with a beard they are trying to make epic. Wild Willie’s Beard Butter really does respect the beard!
