If you are anything like me then you love your handbag and never leave home without it! Not only does it help you look super stylish but it is also extremely useful. First thing, every morning, I take inventory of my necessary items, add anything that is missing, and then we are good to go! Think about it ladies, there are a number of things that come in handy when we are out and about. Unfortunately, there is only so much space in our handbags! Not too sure about which essentials you should have in your bag at all times? Here are five must have items!

WALLET

The number one reason to have a handbag is to have something to carry your wallet around in! Hey, you never know when you might need to make a spontaneous purchase, so it is always good to have your money with you. Plus, if you are like me, your wallet is where you keep your ID and credit cards so it’s a must have. That way, even if you don’t have any cash on you, you can still buy anything that catches your eye!

KEYS

Don’t forget to throw your keys into your bag before you leave the house or step out of your car. Otherwise, you could get back home and find yourself locked out! Add a keyring so that you are less likely to lose your keys. If you have a lot in your bag, you might find it difficult to find them when you are feeling around inside. If you have a keyring, simply give your bag a shake, and you will be able to hear your keys jingle jangle. Trust me, adding a keyring to my handbag has decreased search times by leaps and bounds. Simplifying things makes it a lot easier to track things down!

PERSONAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS

Even if you know your menstrual cycle inside out, there can still be times when your body catches you off guard. Starting a day or two early or even a week can wreak havoc on an awesome night out on the town. Never leave the house unprepared! It’s always good to have a couple of spare tampons in your bag at all times. They are very small and discrete so you aren’t much to the bag AND chances are, if anyone takes a looksee inside they won’t even notice them. Hmm, I even have them hidden in my car, work bag, yeah… always prepared!

MAKEUP

If you frequent the cosmetics section of your store then you know that you can purchase small versions of your favorite makeup products that are specially designed to fit in handbags. These really come in handy if you are out and about and need to touch up your look! Say you are traveling for business and need to look on point, as possible, for a number of hours, smaller versions of must have items are a … MUST! Always remember to carry some power or cream that will set your makeup, like RCMA powder. If it is ever raining or very hot, simply apply the powder to keep your makeup from melting, running, or smearing!

PHONE

Let’s face it, one of life’s essentials, our phones go everywhere that we go these days! Make sure you have yours in your bag every time you leave the house. If you have an accident or emergency when you are out and about, you can quickly contact your nearest and dearest. Ever been somewhere you weren’t really familiar with? Smartphones with Google Maps can also help you out if you ever get lost! Plus, it’s fun to take yourself in a location when you are about and about having fun and maybe taking a selfie or two with friends. I love sharing with friends and readers where I am and what I’m doing!

Hopefully, after reading this post, you won’t leave your home without your must have items ever again! ;) Whew, that’s one less thing to worry about.

Now get your handbags, gather your must have items, and let’s get the weekend started!

What is your number one MUST HAVE item for your handbag?

I have to have a Clif Bar in there too. If I get hungry and there is no way to eat I go insane.

The question is not whats in it, it's what's not in it.

A bottle of water and small snack are must haves too! Oh, can't go without a few tissues either!
