It’s that time of year again, fall! Before we know it, we will be taking  the kids out for a night of Trick-or-Treating.  The other day I caught myself trying to write the date in April, lol.  Seriously, where has this year gone.  I just cannot get over it, the lovely fall months are already here.

I love the early fall months. I love the fall months, it’s not hard to Find beauty in the Falll. The Leaves are changing, weather is perfect, and it’s cooled off enough to spend time outdoors with the family.  Living in the desert during the winter months is horrible.  Once the trees loose their leaves, it’s over.  There’s no life, snow, color, our town is just ugle.  The winter months in the desert are just, cold and ugly.

I My fall months just go that much better.  I’ve been visiting the Gardenieres, and learning so much about gardening.  I’ve always been a tech geek, I don’t have a green thumb.  I don’t think I do anyway, this year I’ve decided to get off my rump, and brighten up my soon to be new deck.

Yes, while I’m blogging away – Shawn’s outside building our new deck.  Yes, I offer to help, but he thinks I’m going to mess something up.  He knows I have a tablet, I can look anything I need to up, lol.  Not really, I have been helping him.

I’ve been learning so much about gardening, thanks to the Gardenieres.  Did you know that feeding your trees is best done in the fall, and it lasts all fall?  I sure didn’t, so we’ve already raced over to Home Depot and feed our trees using Miracle Grow Potting Mix.

This fall I have an awesome project planned I want to share with you.

Home Depot List

  • Potting Soil
  • Great Pots to match my new deck
  • Plants (already have)
  • Flowers (already have)
  • Bulbs (I already have these)

So what in the world would I be using these product for in the fall?  Potted plants indoors.  After reading and watching videos on the fjdlfkjdaslfk website, I’ve learned that I can get a jumpstart on spring.  By the time spring gets here, I’ll be moving my potted plants and flowers outside, read to be admired.

I will be planting a few Bulbs this fall, as well as plants, and potting in some great pots.  Some of my plants and flowers from last year will be moved inside, and I will plant new ones.

I have to be picky about what pots I choose, I want them to look great on our new deck.  I will do some indoor gardening in the off months, and BAM just like that!  This spring, I’ll have some pretty, green, colorful plants and flowers to set our on the deck.

Be sure to visit Miracle-Gro Facebook page, you’re not going to want to miss out on all their awesome gardening information.

Do you have any great fall gardening tips to share?  I would love to hear them, this is my first year to garden in the off season.

Take a moment and watch this great video: Planting Bulbs with Teena Spindler.  I’ll be planting bulbs, so be sure and wish me luck.  I don’t have much of a green thumb, but I am working on it.
