I had no idea that Graphic Design encompassed all of that! I thought (vaguely) that it was basically just illustrations. It DOES sound very rewarding! I imagine that you need a certain amount of raw talent, as well as education, to be successful at this. More power to Graphic Designers!

My oldest grandson is studying graphic design at the U of Florida. It is an exciting field and I am glad that many people are informed of what they can do.

As the saying goes 'a picture is worth a thousand words,' and a great graphic designer is able to create a visual that conveys those words. When it comes to graphic design I am in total agreement, I think it's an industry that will continue to grow.

My step-granddaughter is starting to think about career options and one of them is a graphic designer. I am not sure she has a complete idea of the options within that career so I am sending her a link to your post. Thanks!

I have a cousin who's a graphic designer and I've seen some of her works which include anything and everything from brochures to TV ads. One thing for sure, you gotta be very creative in this line of work. If you have no artistic talent, other designers who do will drive right over you!
