Welcoming your Furbabies at Extended Stay America

I’m getting ready to move. Wait, let me rephrase, it’s not just me, my family is getting to move. No it’s not some grand adventure to sell all our possessions and travel the world or even to the other side of the country. We’re just moving across town. Well, not even across town, more like ten minutes away. But there is a wrinkle. We have dogs. Two of them.

Why is this a wrinkle you ask? Well, I’m glad you asked because I’m going to tell you. You see, we aren’t picking up and moving from one house to the next. We’re picking up, waiting six weeks and then moving to the new house. Now we have family in town that we could live with, theoretically. I say theoretically because my sister-in-law has five dogs already and adding two more to that pack sounds like a really bad idea. Plus she didn’t offer. Or we could go stay with my mother-in-law (no jokes about mothers-in-law, I actually like her), except she has a large dog that has been classified as “dog aggressive. So that also sounds like a bad idea.

Go stay at one house where the unruly pack will gang up on and try to kill our dogs or go stay at another house where the large dog will try to kill our dogs. Ooh, not so great options there. So what are we supposed to do? If we wanted to spend a couple thousand dollars we could board our dogs, and not see them. Or we could go stay at a hotel for a month while sneaking our dogs around and eating fast food every night. Hey that sounds awesome, said no one ever.

Fortunately there is another alternative that beats all the other options out there. Extended Stay America. Whether you are traveling across country and need to stay somewhere for a longer period of time or just travelling across town for a long period of time, Extended Stay America is a pet-friendly alternative for you and your family with pet-friendly rooms (see pet policy here) at all of its 600+ hotels.

Extended Stay America

Every room also has a kitchen with a stove, microwave and refrigerator. So not only can you bring your pets, you can also buy groceries and cook your own meals.

Extended Stay America

They also have on site laundry so you don’t need to haul your dirty skivvies out to a laundromat once a week (or every couple days for my family).

Extended Stay AmericaThat is a much better alternative than eating out every night and worrying about your pets. If you are planning a long vacation or relocation and need somewhere for your family (your whole family including furbabies) to hang your hat, then check out Extended Stay America.
