11040020_10152658623946892_320593175_nA few years ago I started a new journey that encouraged me to eat, act, and think healthier. I shed some unneeded weight, watched my confidence bloom, and I initiated permanent life changes that lead not only to a healthier me but a healthier family. Life was good.

The neat thing about life is that it is constantly evolving, things are always changing, and while some changes are good, some are also bad. Let’s fast forward to February of 2014. After a series of events, there was a sharp right turn and a fork in the road when it came to my career. Suddenly I went from working in an office environment five days a week to being at home seven days a week. As with any change, there were a lot of pros and cons. With this particular change, the cons involved food.

Here I am a year later and a few (okay, more than a few) pounds heavier. I’m still down in my weight but this is definitely what I had hoped or planned for. Life is good … I think.

As soon as I really noticed the weight gain I started taking a closer look at my life. I eat pretty healthy, I move around (some), and I haven’t really changed my eating habits. Hmmm, okay, maybe one of those isn’t really true. Working in an office setting helped me control my eating habits. It’s simple, when food isn’t readily available, we don’t eat it. Now that I am home, the refrigerator is only steps away. I sat down, charted my intake, and realized the snacking has become a part of my routine. A few other unhealthy habits have managed to creep back into my life such as drinking soda, eating candy, and late night snacking. It was time to take control back!

Enter SupressMint: 3-Hour Craving Control Breath Mint.

SupressMint is a dot-sized, slow-dissolve, peppermint-flavored micro-tab (that is a lot of hyphens) that is fortified with a proven dietary supplement and appetite suppressant; Chromax (chromium picolinate).

You place the “dot” in your mouth between your gum and cheek and it takes up to three hours to dissolve. During the dissolving/melting process, many lose their desire and cravings for foods that tend to make us overweight. This is especially the case for refined carbohydrates such as soda, cookies, and chips.

The willpower to overcome the temptations and cravings is the end result.

Did you know that chromium picolinate helps reduce cravings for foods high in sugar and fat? It also helps stabilize blood sugar (glucose levels) and calm anxiety and stabilize emotions. Yeah, I had no idea but I am so thankful to have obtained this valuable information.

So does it work? For me it has!

I have noticed that when I think to take my SupressMint I avoid snacking and drinking soda between meals. When I snack, I never know if it is because I am actually hungry or if I am just bored and my body is looking for something to do. SupressMint provides oral gratification (hush, no jokes!) so I don’t feel the NEED to eat between meals.

I also enjoy that the mint keeps my breath fresh. I don’t know about you but I have noticed that my bad breath increases when I am “dieting.” This is because ketosis tends to make our breath smell metallic. Or maybe it is just the types of foods we are eating. Or maybe both!

True appetite suppression and fresh breath are definite bonuses.

As for the negatives, I admit that there are a couple of negatives BUT they aren’t that negative. First, it took me a few days to get used to the “dots.” I take Sublingual B12 which dissolves under the tongue. It was an adjustment when I started taking my B12; however, it dissolves fairly quickly. Holding something in place between your mouth and gums for up to three hours can be rather daunting. It may just take extra time for me to get used to. On the flip side, the end results far outweigh this negative. Second, I have noticed that when I take SupressMint I suffer from dry mouth. On the plus side, this increases my water intake which is a bonus. Two negatives that aren’t really negatives, yeah, the pros far outweigh the “cons.”

As a side note, I also love the two handy dandy little holders that the company sent to me. I keep a container of SupressMints in my purse so if a craving strikes when I am out I am able to curb it right away. Kudos to the company for having this forethought!

Overall, a couple of negatives (that aren’t really bad) aside, this is definitely an awesome product that does work.

If you are looking to drop a little weight or actively part of a weight loss plan such as Weight Waters, NutriSystem, Jenny Craig, etc… this may be the perfect partner to help you succeed. Good luck on your journey!

It's not bothersome being left in your cheek for all that time? I am not sure I could do that, lol. I might give it a try though. Sure would not hurt.

It was strange the first couple of uses. Then, I guess I was busy and just stopped noticing. It was a pretty quick transition for me.

WOW! Thanks so much for the Terrific Review on SuppressMint: 3-Hour Craving Control Breath Mint #SupressMint! I really love this idea! With the meds that I take for all of my conditions, I have dry mouth all the time! I totally hate it! I have to have something to drink with me all the time! So, that part won't make a difference to me. I would love to be able to curb that I want something to eat urge that strikes at all the wrong times! Like at 11:00pm when I'm online and entering contests, etc. It irritates me to no end! I know it's late and I know it's not good for me, but sometimes (sometimes really) I can get over it by chewing on ice cubes! This product sounds almost too good to be true! It worked for you though! I'll have to check into this a little further and add it to my "want" list, which is a very long one now! I can't wait until my hubby gets back to work! This being home with him 7 days a week all day long is really starting to get on my nerves! The kids at least have school (whenever they are not in a snow day!) Thanks again for sharing this SuppressMint with all of us! I truly do appreciate it! Michele :)

My journey has had many ups and downs, I have stacked on more than my share of weight, and have been cutting back, but still need to get the exercise. I am hopeful this Spring I can start walking again, and biking. This may be just the thing I need to distract me from sweets and salty snacks. Thank you for the review.

I read a review somewhere on a blogger moms page about these and I bought them. I agree with you I've been using them for a few days and I love them! They work great, I've never found anything that has actually worked for me until now! I don't know what it is about them but I am hooked. I am so happy to see another person, that has used and liked them as much as me. I have ALSO been drinking a TON of water because of dry mouth but hey we're suppose to anyways :) Awesome review!

That's a good idea. I like that the mint takes a few hours to dissolve. I'm always eating mints. I'm going to try these.

I love mint, but would never try one of those; seems so artificial and unnatural
