I have been a fan of Star Wars for as long as I can remember; thanks to my dad. George Lucas has always been a household name, my dad and I constantly referenced the force, and the movies are absolute must haves and classics. I remember that anytime I had a sick day that involved spending the day resting on the couch, a Star Wars movie was always my top choice of VHS tapes to watch. Oh yes my friends, I am totally part of the VHS era and this was special; mom didn’t attempt to operate the VCR for just anyone! Seriously, Ewoks are adorable and who doesn’t love Chewbacca?
My dad is no longer with us but he would be so proud to know that the tradition continues with my daughter. She is 5 and loves everything Star Wars. From the cartoons to the characters to movies … tradition … it’s everything! It’s just like home.
I’m also a serious football fanatic. This is something that didn’t develop until much later in life; umm around my teenage years and since then I have loved it. I know the players, the positions, the plays, the teams, the … the… the … I am all in. I cheer for the home team and know who to applaud during the other games. Sunday, Monday, and Thursday … we are talking the best days of fall! So are you a football fan too? I know not everyone is so we will just leave that as a maybe.
What I do know is that when it comes to Star Wars … we are all in! So what does one have to do with the other? A LOT … at least for tonight!
If you are looking for or perhaps need a reason or in my case ANOTHER reason to watch Monday Night Football tonight, Lucasfilm has provided it!
