“Capture the moment now. Perfect the photo or video later. It’s easy with Elements.”
A picture is worth a thousand words. It’s not just a cliché. It’s reality. Usually. Have you ever seen a picture that was worth 552 words? Or 296 words. Or 3 words? I have. I take them with my cell phone all the time. They’re blurry. They have bad color. At a weird angle. Have random people photobombing them. The list goes on. I am constantly amazed at what can show up on my camera. I am also likewise amazed at what can come out of the camera of someone who knows what they are doing. These are the professional pictures. The wedding photos. The first baby portraits. The yearly birthday pictures. I’m always jealous of how good they look. Those are the pictures that really are worth a thousand words. The nice thing is that you too can now get a little closer to your own pictures that are worth a thousand words.
I have a few pictures that I love. One is my daughter when she was not even one. It’s a close up on her in black and white. The only color in the picture is in her eyes. She is lying on a fur blanket (don’t worry, it’s not real), looking up at the camera with her bright blue eyes. I always wondered how the photographer did that. And now I know. Well, I don’t know what specifically she used; I know in general how she did it. And now I can do it too, along with a whole lot more with Adobe PhotoShop Elements 14.
Finally, a photo editing software package that I can use! I can remove red eye. Eliminate Haze from backgrounds. Get rid of camera shake. I can start off using Guided Edits. This is an automated way to help you clean up your pictures. From there I can go in and make tweaks as I need with the touch of a button. It’s literally that easy. And once you’re done it lets you share it out to Facebook and other sites with ease, which for me is obviously an extra bonus.
So am I on my way to becoming the next Annie Leibovitz? The answer to that is no. But I am on my way to a picture being worth a thousand words. Ok, maybe 983, but I’m getting closer.
