Ok, I like wine a lot. I mean, A LOT. If there was such a thing as Wine Bottle opener elbow my husband would have it.
My husband?
Yes, my husband. While I like wine, I have a problem opening wine bottles. Either I can’t get the cork out because it’s in so tight or I end up shredding the cork into little pieces and have to fish it out of the bottle or I end up just breaking the bottle. Not on purpose mind you (I think there was an episode of MASH where they did that, on purpose I mean), in fact I think it was actually the bottle’s fault. And no, I don’t have the patience to do that shoe/wall trick (if you don’t know what I mean, just do a google search for “wine bottle shoe wall”).
So it was with great joy when I got the chance to review the Ozeri Extravo Electric Wine Opener. This thing is amazing. Finally I can manage to open a bottle of wine ALL BY MYSELF (yes, I know that makes me special, just hush). It works like a charm. It comes with a base that doubles as a cutter to remove the foil. It’s rechargeable and comes with the cord (so no messing with batteries). Simply hold the bottle on a table with one hand and put the Extravo on top of the cork and push down with the other. It does all the work and I do mean ALL the work. It pushes the corkscrew into the cork, pulls it out and then you just push the button on the top to reverse the cork out. Bam, I got wine.
Warning, it WON’T work with those fancy high end boxes of wine.
