NYC PetPortraits Giveaway

by Heather

Welcome to the NYC PetPortraits giveaway hosted by
Housewife on a Mission and sponsored by NYC PetPortraits!
Do you have a furry pet in your family? Artist, Gillian Wainwright,
who has exhibited in New York City, has a unique ability to capture
the most beautiful moments (from your favorite photographs) of your
pet. Gillian will take your photograph and create an original, custom
oil painting that is sure to capture your heart!
Her goal is always to create a personal and unique portrait of your pet,
something truly beautiful that will have lasting value; not just as a
beautiful oil painting of your pet, but as a work of art that captures
the spirit of your pet and that singular moment that you will be sure to
treasure for years to come.
To view a few examples Gillian’s paintings, go to www.NYCPetPortraits.com.
Is it bad that I am sitting here looking at my puppy and trying to imagine him holding still long enough for a great photo just so I could have one these portraits made? I love him to pieces but he is spastic! I guess anything is possible … I better go get my camera ready. Now, for the real details!

All paintings are oil on canvas on wood panel. The panel has clean wood edges so that framing is optional.

Price:

12″ x 14″ — $450

14″ x 18″ — $550

16″ x 20″ — $650

* Other sizes and paintings on stretched canvas available upon request.

Housewife on a Mission had the opportunity to review Gillian’s artwork of their family pet cat ‘Slippers’. Head on over to read her full review here.

Wow, I have five Treeing Walker Coonhounds and three cats – all rescues. I’m going to have to think about which one I’d want to have painted. We’ve lost several other dogs and cats to old age over the years, so I might want to go with one of them. I’m thinking either our Angora cat, Anya, who was almost 20 when she died or my dog, Misty, who I’ll never stop missing terribly. I may have to flip a coin between those two.

We recently lost our sheltie and would love to have this. We miss her daily and she was such a big part of our familiy.

Our Punkin, an orange Turkish Angora, she left us May 21, 2014, she had cancer. Our baby used to sleep over my head & snuggle as close as she possibly could wrapped around my head. Just before she passed, she grabbed my hand, as if to say mommy stay with me, hold me. She laid her head in my hand, wrapped her paw over my wrist, and we held each other until she passed. If you look on my FB page, you can see her on the top of my timeline. She will always live in our hearts. We rescued her from an empty apt, she had no food or water, she was losing her hair she was so frail and almost dead. I nursed her back to life, and she lived a life very much loved and cherished.
