So I had a whole story in my mind. What I was going to say and how I was going to say it. It was about the Master Pan. I had it started. And then I actually used the Master Pan. And everything changed. In a good way.
So let’s start off with what it is. Master Pan is a non-stick pan separated into 5 cooking areas. It seems so simple it’s almost genius. I’m sitting here wondering why no one has invented this before.
Now I’m going to tell you about my very first experience with it; cooking breakfast for me and the Baby Ninja while Mommy Ninja is out of town.
When I make breakfast normally it is a big affair. I use up every pan we have and cover the entire stove top. Sausage in one, potatoes in another and eggs in a third. Add in pancakes or French toast and we hit the tipping point of space. Bacon just goes in the oven. Does someone else want their eggs cooked a different way? Baby Ninja likes scrambled, I like over easy. Out of luck. Not to mention the mess and clean up. Now if I was cooking for the Brady Bunch or Eight is Enough. It might be justified (but then so would a personal chef). When it’s just two or three of us the mess and clean up outweighs the cooking.
This is the part where I can honestly tell you how much I am in love with this new pan. And I’m serious when I say I LOVE this pan. I’m not sure I have loved an inanimate object so much since I got my label maker. And that’s saying something. Seriously. I love my label maker.
I cooked breakfast in one pan. ONE!! I put the burner on medium high and started the oil in the large middle section (also the hottest section). When that was hot I put in my shredded hash brown potatoes. When those started cooking I put some smoked sausage in the right side compartment. I flipped the hash browns over to brown on the other side and cracked a couple eggs to cook on the left side. Those even have these cool circle-y indentations so your eggs form circular…eggs. While those were cooking I scrambled up a couple eggs for my daughter.
Can you grasp how cool it was that I did this in one pan? No heating up every burner on the stove (and subsequently heating up the house). No managing four or five pans. It all went in ONE pan.
If I had one thing I learned it would be that I should have started the scramble eggs before the over-easy, because they ended up being over-medium (is that a real term?) but that was user error. You know the best part? After we were done eating breakfast my daughter actually turned to me and said “Breakfast was really good.” You know how often that happens? Somewhere between never and someplace freezing over.
If you are tired of cooking with multiple pans on the stove when one will do, then you need to head over to masterpan.com and get one of these. You can even use our coupon code (MP217) to get $20 off the retail price.
