I suffer from PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) which is a condition where a woman’s hormones are out of balance. There are a number of health problems that can be attributed to this disorder and unfortunately, it may result in unwanted changes to the female body. For me, one of those “unwanted changes” was the growth of extra facial. For the record, I don’t have a beard or mustache (there are pictures of me all over my Facebook profile if you want to double check) and I don’t look like Sasquatch when nude. What I experience is little hairs that pop up in the lower portion of my face, near my chin line, and in my neck area. I don’t consider myself vain; however, I do keep close watch of this area because I feel these hairs are extremely noticeable. My husband says he never sees them but he may be bias or maybe he just lying to make me feel better about myself. All I know is that as soon as I feel them, even under the surface, I have to get them out ASAP and the removal process can be a real challenge.

Have you ever had an ingrown hair or one sitting below the surface just waiting to push through? Have you ever tried to get it out using a regular pair of tweezers? It is nearly impossible. The place that you tried to DIG the hair out of will look red, swollen, and sometimes bleed. In fact, sometimes the aftermath is worse than just leaving well enough alone. Now, someone like me, the potential negative repercussions don’t matter. I have to get the hair out … failure is NOT an option.

Luckily, for me, the skies opened up, the sun shine down upon me, and now I don’t have to deal with regular tweezers anymore when it comes to pain in the posterior hairs! All this, thanks to a wonderful new product from Majestic Bombay! Their Stainless Steel Ingrown Hair Splintertweeze a.k.a. the Tweez’em is amazing!!! Now, I just wash the area with soap and water, dip the tweezers in alcohol to disinfect them, and then use the tip of the tweezer to isolate the area of the ingrown hair, and boom… the hair is gone! The Tweez’em has made my “obsession” with removing these unwanted hairs quick, easy, and simple.

On Monday I was able to use my Splintertweeze for their second purpose, to remove a splinter-like object. My husband normally cuts out grass but on Monday, I wanted to do something nice for him so I cut the grass myself; something I NEVER do. I was pushing our mower down our rather hilly backyard when the mower tried to take control of our Random Act of Kindness and drug me into a thorn bush. Not 1 but 7 thorns later I was in the bathroom with my Tweez’em, whining a bit, pulling out two thorns that were lodged deep in my left hand. I still have bruises where the thorns were to confirm my battle scars. Although falling into the thorn bush was painful, the actual act of removing the thorns was easy thanks to Splintertweeze.

All in all, I love this product. I use it on a daily basis and I will be ordering two if not three more so I can have one in both of our bathrooms, my car, and my husband’s car. My icky hair problems aside, I’m not the only clumsy member of my family; I also have a 4-year-old. The Tweez’em will prove beneficial for years to come.
