I like music. But I hate my phone. Why does that matter? I don’t hate it because it’s a bad phone. I hate it because its two years old, won’t hold a charge, and randomly reboots. So trying to do something as taxing as playing music on it is a little too much to ask. It can manage it, but it sounds kind of terrible and every time I want to skip a song means waking it up, which means activating the screen and draining the battery just to push a couple buttons. What I really need is a new phone. And one of these days I’ll convince the hubby of that. It may take me putting my phone through a paper shredder to convince him, but I’ll convince him. In the meantime we still have the problem of music during our late night bonfires (and by late night I mean 6pm, I have a kid).
Luckily I now have the Liztek PSS-100 speaker. This is no ordinary speaker. First of all it is Bluetooth. This means I can leave my phone plugged up to the charger inside the house while I am outside at the bonfire. But what I really like is that it includes playback controls and a talk button. The playback controls on the top of the speaker mean that I can have just the speaker outside; while the phone is plugged in inside and still skip tracks I don’t feel like listening to. Or if I happen to receive a phone call I can just hit the talk button to answer the phone like a speakerphone. No having to get up and go inside to answer the phone, or ignore it. Or rather, no having to send the hubby inside to answer the phone.
