To Celebrate National Bladder Health Awareness Month
My first job right out of college put me in a position where I was the youngest person on staff by leaps and bounds. The women would constantly crack jokes about being pregnant, childbirth, and the aftermath. I was in my early 20s at the time and just remember looking at them as though they were crazy. It wasn’t possible that half of the things that they were saying were true. The one that always caught me off guard was the joke about “laughing so hard they cried tears down their legs” … I remember sitting there thinking … WHAT? That is disgusting. Then, I got pregnant and had my daughter naturally. Although a wee bit different … I completely understand the things that did not seem so funny then yet amuse me now. As they say … PeeHappens!
