kidecals CHALKBOARD LABELS Review #labelitdontloseit

Delightfully versatile … Crazy durable

How has life been treating you? Well I hope! In our house, things have been absolutely insane. My daughter just started preschool, I am in the process of starting my own business, and my husband has been working crazy hours on a project with a tight deadline. There are many days when you walk in our house and it looks like a wrecking ball went through. Okay, that may be stretching it a bit but the kitchen is a complete mess and there are papers all over my kitchen table. Have you ever scooped an entire kitchen tables worth of papers into a laundry basket just so you can sit down and eat dinner? Yeah, me either … who would do such a thing! 😉

Needless to say, organization has become a top priority as I can’t stand living in clutter and hate not being able to find something important, say the electric bill, when I really need it. We have storage boxes and bins, cute tins to hold my daughter’s trinkets, a mail holder (it is currently buried under all of the paperwork), plastic bags (yes, I have used this method to hide clutter from myself), the list goes on and on … you get the idea. The problem with the majority of these methods is that I never know what is in what bin or where my daughter keeps certain toys so I am constantly making a bigger mess as I search through looking for a needed item. I thought about color coding, designating certain things to certain rooms, and renting a dumpster to just scrap the old and start fresh but none of these ideas seemed reasonable. After searching high and low, I was introduced to a company, and many products, that are able to help.

Enter kidecals. The company sells waterproof “name” labels for kids and adults. I looked through all of the adorable and numerous label designs and as soon as I saw the Chalkboard Labels I knew we had a winner! I selected the Plaque, Star, and Cloud II chalkboard labels as I knew that this would provide a variety which would allow me to keep my OCD in check. Remember how I said I wanted to color coordinate? Secretly I have designed a system for our chalkboard labels but we won’t get into that because I prefer my husband not know about it or understand it. Where was I? Oh yes, the labels!

Each sheet/kit that you receive includes twelve labels that come in two sizes, three inch and four inch. The labels are water, heat, and cold resistant which means you can put them through their paces, which we do, and they will stand up to the test! The labels work great with chalkboard ink and will remain in place when washed by hand or on the top rack of your dishwasher. kidecals states the labels will hold up in the washing machine and dryer too but I haven’t figured out how to fit my huge storage bins into my washing machine and I don’t think the tins would do well in the dryer! The labels can be applied to walls, plastic, metal, fabrics; really any surface that needs a label!

In my search I found multiple labels that could be used on clothes, backpacks, and other important items as well as cute labels for your keyboard. I don’t know about you but I use my laptop so often that a number of the letters have worn off of the keys. It is probably a good thing that I memorized the keyboard in earlier years. There are even labels that provide a warning for allergies that you or your child may suffer from. What I am trying to say is the labels are not only cute, they are versatile. You have to check this company out!
