How Do Ninja Offers Work?

We absolutely love hearing from our readers, affectionately known as Ninjas.  In the last several days and among several comments there seems to be a common thread though and it is one that concerns us.  The general census we’re picking up is “Is the offer Ninja posted okay?” or “How exactly does this offer work?”

We’d like to address this and hopefully calm any concerns you may have.  The sites we post here and the links we share with you, we do so with a certain understanding that from our sources they are legitimate, safe, and secure.  We would hope that you would trust that we would never intentionally here, at Pink Ninja Blog post something to cause harm to you or your computer.  We wouldn’t want it done to us and therefore we won’t do it to you!

“So why am I getting an “invalid” link?”  “Why can’t I access this site?”  The answer to those questions is that with some of the postings we list, there is only allowance for a certain amount of visitors to the link itself, downloads of a coupon, or entries to a sign-up.  Unfortunately those are numbers we here at Ninja have no control over.  We do receive updates and receive notice when a link is to come down or is no longer available.  When those notices are received, the Social Media promotion of the blog post ceases.  However, since this is the world of the internet and with posting anything on the internet, once it’s there, it’s there.  It cannot be retrieved.  Therefore, what you see posted today may work, but should you come back next week or a month from now and try to click the links in that same post, they may not work.  That we cannot control.

What we can control is scanning what is offered to us and using our best judgement in what we think will be of the most interest to you, our Ninjas, we decide which offers to share with you.  At the time the post is made, again to the best of our knowledge the link is good and the site is trustworthy.

Now, on a personal level, I have anti-virus software.  I look over offers, sweepstakes, coupons, and other links made available to me as a consumer.  I decide what, if anything I wish to download.  In doing so I know that there is a certain amount of risk, but upon making the choice to download or sign up for something, I accept responsibility for what I’m doing.  When I fill a form out on the internet, I know and accept that the information I’m providing is going somewhere.  Again, that’s a decision I’ve made though.  When it comes to what is posted here on Pink Ninja Blog, there is nothing I post that I wouldn’t sign up for myself.  If I don’t sign up for an offer posted here it is only because of not qualifying for the offer (I’m not mom to human children ~ Toby is my 4-legged child.), ethically not being able to enter a giveaway, or because it doesn’t interest me (Roblox ~ nothing wrong with the offer, but I don’t play games like that).

Thank you all for taking a moment out of your day to read this.  We hope that any concerns you may have had are resolved.  Should you still have questions, please do not hesitate to connect with us.  We are here for you!

Yes, I know there have been questions about certain offers, thank you for addressing those concerns. And when it comes right down to it, if you don't think it's safe, then don't click on it.

I've mostly had concerns over some coupon sites & other sites that want you to download a tool bar in order to get the free printable you love. Thank you for your addressing the concerns of your followers. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for the post. I also do the same, but I think a lot of it has to do with - are you downloading it at work (like myself) or at home. At work we have a LOT of anti-virus 'blockers' if you will and I cannot most of the time down load even coupons - mostly because it requires that I download software - which I would not want my employees to be allowed to do either. However, every now and then, I have trouble just getting on to your site, and some days other sites. I trust your content and most of the other bloggers, but I think people get frustrated at you and not at the real reason as to why they cannot down load something. Have to luv computers - but I understand. Again, thanks for the post I hope it helps others realize it too!

Thanks for clearing that up. On occasion I've wondered about some offers. But, after thinking about it for a minute realized that no, you wouldn't post a bad link. It wouldn't do anyone any good. It's up to the reader which offers we decide to sign up with anyways.

Thank you for you explanation. I believe that all your offers are legitimate. Sometimes the settings that other people have on their tablets, computers , etc are not adequate to protect the person . Anti-virus software is very important. Also a lot of sites get overwhelmed and can't handle all the attention when so many people go there .

Thank you so much for the clarifications! A few times I have received link errors from some of your offers, but made the assumption that I had just made some mistake - nice ot know that it is not me!

Another thing that people should know is that they are not obligated to participate in any offer. I never feel obligated, especially when the sign-up asks for so much information.

Thanks for clarifying this. I see lots of offers and most of the time, I am quite leery of clicking on links. I've been burned so many times with viruses because of clicking on links. Thanks for being on the lookout and reassuring us that yours are safe.

i am new to this page and blogging, reading this is very informative and makes me feel better knowing that you do check out these pages and such. it is understandable that you have no control over when an offer has filled up or something that would make the page unavailable. again, thank you for the information, teri

First thank you so much for taking your time out to post up giveaways, blogs and more. Second I understand where you are coming from. I do have to miss out on contests that are for mothers or for children or teens. However, I do wish at times there was a option that says if you know someone with kids. Sometimes I would like to enter contests for my nephew or niece or for the children I sit for or tutor. But because I am not the mother I can not apply unless it is for a furry paw then I am a mother to several lol

I am glad you brought this subject up. I know ya'll watch out for us, but I won a prize from a blog giveaway about a month ago. I won't say which one. But make a long story short. I never got that prize and it was a nice one too. No one I got in touch with ever knew anything about it. But I got the e-mail telling me I won and who to contact, but never did get it figured out. I'm still upset about it.

You have certainly won my respect a little more. thank you for clarifying this. I noticed other blogs that I frequent post things that, when i click through, I wonder to myself "do they actually realize they just sent us to spam" or worse, some trip my anti-virus software and get blocked.
