Have you ever moved? I haven’t. I have never moved once. Oh, except for that time when I was 10 when we moved from one side of the city to the other. And that time after my father passed away. Hmm, then there was the 14 times in 2 years right after that. Or the time I moved in with my boyfriend (now my husband). Or the time we moved in with my mom. Or when I bought a house. Or the time I moved back in with my mom to help her out. Or when we moved back into our own house.
Okay, wait a minute.
Apparently I have moved a lot. I didn’t realize how many times until just now. I feel kind of like a gypsy, always moving from point A to point B. I don’t know if you realize it or not, if you haven’t moved much like me, but a lot goes in to moving. Getting all your stuff packed, making sure the movers don’t steal or lose anything, getting everything set up at your new place. It can be involved. Now for a couple of those moves I didn’t have much to worry about. Mom or dad took care of the details. But once you turn 18 apparently all that goes out the window and you are responsible for taking care of it all yourself (growing up sucks sometimes). YOU have to call 13 different movers to find one that isn’t exorbitantly expensive AND has availability on the day you want to move. YOU have to pack up all your stuff in a way that ensures it doesn’t get broken. YOU have to get your utilities transferred. YOU have to pay the troll to cross the bridge without getting eaten. Wait a minute, just kidding about that last one. Well, I mean the second to last one. Now you have someone in your corner to help you out with getting your power and internet and phone and cable moved, and that someone is http://www.allconnect.com.
Talk about simple. You put in your new address and boom. Phone service, Internet providers, Cable companies, Satellite providers, bundled services, all right there for you to compare. If you’re lucky they can show you gas and electricity too. There isn’t exactly a lot of competition in my area on those two fronts so I didn’t get any options, but for everything else? I love it. My sister literally moved this past weekend and we were able to use allconnect.com to look at all her options for setting up new service to get her a better deal on her Internet and TV. Major timesaver. Moving can be a real hassle and it can be expensive. It’s nice to finally have someone in your corner helping out with such a stressful event and helping you to save money at the same time.
