I like ice cream. A lot. It’s probably my favorite dessert. Forget cheesecake. Forget cake. Forget pudding. Forget Crème Brule. Forget cookies. Forget Key Lime Pie or Coconut Cream Pie or Chocolate Cream Pie or Apple Pie or Pumpkin Pie or Pecan Pie. Well, maybe not Pecan Pie. What was I talking about?
Oh yeah, ice cream, my favorite dessert. A simple bowl of vanilla ice cream with some hot fudge and caramel and maybe a little bit of whipped cream.
The classic sundae.
Not complicated.
Delicious simplicity.
The problem is that I like my ice cream sundaes to look good too. I know. Silly. But have you ever gone out to a restaurant and gotten a sundae? It’s never presented in a soup bowl is it? No, it isn’t. It’s presented in an ice cream bowl. So why would you eat ice cream at home in a bowl you eat soup in? It’s positively pedestrian. And who wants to be pedestrian? Not me. I prefer to drive. Haha, that was a joke. Ok, maybe it wasn’t that funny. But I prefer to eat my ice cream in bright colorful bowls that don’t remind me of old soup. And now I have Francois et Mimi’s Pastel Ice Cream bowls. These are great deep bowls perfect for ice cream. Or cereal or oatmeal. Not soup though. These are not soup bowls. These are ice cream bowls. And I’m going to go eat some ice cream.
