Dolby Cinema ~ Experience Doctor Strange #DolbyCinema #ShareAMC #DoctorStrange

Have you ever been to a movie theater with recliners? I mean a real movie theater, not a home theater.

A week ago the answer for me was no. As of today I can change my answer. Now it is a resounding YES. And I have to admit that I am impressed. Today I got to go see Doctor Strange at the Dolby Cinema at AMC West Chester. Let me rephrase that. Today I was lucky enough to experience Doctor Strange at the Dolby Cinema at AMC West Chester, and it was amazing. I’ve been to theaters were the seats leaned back, but never actually reclined. I have been to theaters that had surround sound, but never actually immersed you in the sound experience. Doctor Strange is a movie that you need experience, not just see and you need to go to a Dolby Cinema to experience it while you can, it is worth it.

Let’s start with the seating itself. First, like many modern baseball stadiums, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. Literally.

With stadium seating every seat has a direct line to see the screen, no more worries about sitting behind a tall person. And let’s face it, we’ve all been in a situation where you had to lean or trade seats because you couldn’t see around the person in front of you.

Next, let’s talk armrests. Each leather reclining seat has its own armrests. No fighting for space (for your arm or your drink) with the person next to you. Again, we’ve all been in that situation.

Now let’s talk about the sound.

A visually stunning movie like Doctor Strange inevitably has some awesome sound to go with it. From fight scenes to explosions to just listening to the snow blow around on Mount Everest to the sounds on the streets of Katmandu, Nepal, you will feel yourself immersed. Not only by the speakers that surround you, but by the speakers in the seats that let you feel every rumble

And Doctor Strange is truly a movie worth experiencing. Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton are outstanding and perfect in their roles as Doctor Strange and the Ancient One (and yes I am a fan of the direction they took with the Ancient One). Watching Stephen Strange go from arrogant surgeon to selfless servant of humanity is a fun exciting journey.

I truly have to say I am hooked. If you only go to see Doctor Strange once, you should go see it in a Dolby Cinema, the experience is worth it.

Doctor Strange is now playing in theaters EVERYWHERE!

Marvel’s DOCTOR STRANGE follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange, who, after a tragic card accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
