Once upon a time I did a movie review of Dora and the Lost City of Gold. You know what I found? I really liked the movie. And now I get it all the time with the Blu-ray/Digital version. One of the things I love about getting a movie at home is all the extras. I don’t mean the wrapper and the case and the inserts. I mean the behind the scenes features and blooper reals and deleted scenes. Don’t get me started on deleted scenes, I love them. Even when they’re terrible and you can see why they were cut, I just love them. Sometimes they are unfinished, which is ok, but I do hate the ones where they just show you storyboards. That’s just a cop out.

But I digress. We just received the Dora and the Lost City of Gold Adventure Kit. What is that you ask?

A whole lot of AWESOME is what it is. Not only does it come with the Blu-Ray and digital copies of Dora, which includes the deleted scenes (have I mentioned that I love deleted scenes), but it comes with a whole lot of stuff that I am going to love. I mean a whole lot of stuff that my daughter is going to love. Let’s start with the fancy compass. I’ve always wanted…I mean my daughter has always wanted one. Now we just have to figure out how to use it. Or the wind-up flashlight. Never need batteries again. Or the little Mag-Lite. These are my favorite flashlights ever. Or the binoculars, or the magnifying lens. Or the whistle. So many things to love. For my daughter I mean. Definitely my daughter.

I am going to have so much fun exploring with this adventure kit. I mean my daughter. My daughter is…OK, I can’t lie anymore. My daughter is supposed to be getting this adventure kit. I am totally going to steal it. This is going to be my adventure kit. I am going to use the compass to find my way through dark dangerous jungles and explore hidden treasure troves. Also known as my basement. I mean, it really is a lot like a jungle down there. And it’s a lot more dangerous than any Lost City of Gold that Dora might explore.

So if you want to have a truly fun family Adventure, check out Dora and the Lost City of Gold, out of Blu-Ray and Digital now.

Disclaimer: I was provided a free copy of Dora and the Lost City of Gold for review, but all opinions are my own. If I don’t like a movie, I will tell you.
