Does CBD Oil Help with Weight Loss

I’m sure you’ve heard about CBD oil? The health and wellness benefits are being talked about but did you know that CBD oil may help with weight loss too? Yes, I know if you still associate CBD and THC you are probably thinking, “yeah right” but CBD and THC are totally different!  With so many possible health benefits for things like insomnia, pain relief, anxiety, epileptic seizures, stress, chronic pain, and even depression to name a few of the many.  So it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if CBD oil helped with weight loss.

Oh yes, and let’s not forget that you can even use CBD oil for your pets!  Seriously, as an aid to help stop smoking!  It’s just amazing and I hope we continue to find more benefits of using CBD oil.  I’m still waiting for the 4th of July to try CBD oil on my dog who FREAKS out when the fireworks start going off.

Okay, so let’s focus on whether or not CBD oil helps with weight loss or not and how it might help.

  • CBD Oil and appetite suppression

I know, if you associate CBD and THC you are thinking that CBD would give you the munchies, but it’s the actual opposite.  Think of CBD and THC less like brothers and more like distant cousins.  They are related but not that closely related.  And, yes, CBD oil can actually suppress our appetite but that is not all CBD can do to help promote weight loss.

  • CBD oil and burning calories

Sure helping control our appetite is great but what if I told you that CBD oil may help us with burning calories?  CBD can increase our levels of mitochondria that are found in our body.  This allows our body to burn more calories.  It also helps to reduce the amount of new fat cells that are generated by stimulating genes and proteins which break down our fat cells.

  • CBD oil and the fat browning process

Yep, there is more!  Have you ever heard of fat browning?  I’ll be honest it was new to me as well, but CBD oil can accelerate the fat browning process.  Which changes our white fatty tissue into a brown fatty tissue.  Basically, the white fatty tissue is for preserving energy and the brown fatty tissue is burning energy.  It helps us decrease the buildup of the fatty tissue by turning it brown and burning all the fatty tissue together.

How do you add CBD oil to your weight loss program

Honestly, there is a variety of ways you can take CBD oil but personally, I would go with CBD candy because they are tasty lol, depending on your diet of course or of course my personal favorite CBD Turmeric Oil Capsules by MedsBioetch.  I tend to go with the capsules because you don’t need immediate relief due to chronic pain or something similar and each tablet is premeasured.  You won’t have to measure anything out.  Each time you grab a CBD oil capsule you’ll know what dose you are getting.  It just seems easiest, but there are a number of other ways you can add CBD oil to your weight loss program.  Just do a little research and find the one that works best for you. –  like CBD and curcumin.  The capsule, in my opinion, is easiest for something like weight loss because you don’t need an immediate release and everything is premeasured so you know how much CBD you are getting each time.

I’m sure you’ve seen recipes or head something about cooking with CBD oil, right?  You can find CBD oil in a variety of recipes, everything from salad dressing to some of your favorite desserts.  It’s a great way to take advantage of all the benefits CBD oils offer.   You can also add it to your favorite morning smoothie or whatever else you want, it’s easy and doesn’t add a bad flavor to anything I’ve made yet.

How much CBD oil should I take

As far as the dosage goes, being with a small dose and increase your dose if needed until you get the desired results.  As a beginner, you’ll want to be sure you begin with a small does.  In many cases, it’s better to have a small dose a few times a day than one big dose, but this too can be different from person to person.

Everything I’ve read suggests starting at a low 5 mg dose of CBD oil and slowing increasing as needed after 5 days.

How do I know which CBD oil product to purchase?

The internet is flooded with different brands of CBD oil and I’m sure there are many more to come with CBD becoming increasingly popular the way it is.  However, it’s important to remember that not all CBD oil is created equally and when it comes to your CBD oil quality does matter.  So do your research and be certain you are purchasing a high-quality CBD oil before picking up the cheapest bottle at the grocery store or the most expensive online.

Oh, and always make sure the company has their CBD oil tested by the third party.  They often provide the results online so they can guarantee the quality of their CBD oil.  Keep in mind with the increasing talk of CBD oil and its amazing benefits means a growing market, there are always the companies we should avoid buying from.  So do your research, talk to family and friends or even your healthcare provider if you are unsure.
