Cure for a Hectic Life, Simple Pizza with Mama Mary’s ®

by Erik

Let me tell you why I love making pizza with Mama Mary’s ®. Is your life hectic? My life is hectic. Everyone I know has a hectic life. Do you have a hectic life? Does it sound like I like the word hectic a lot? Evenings are especially hectic. Between homework and dinner and bath time (the kid, not me) and cleaning I don’t have a lot of time. So when the stars align and we don’t need a bath and we don’t have homework and we have some free time, I don’t want to trade in that free time for hours spent making dinner. I want to spend time with my family enjoying quality time, perhaps relaxing with a family movie or playing some board games. But we still need to eat. Kids are annoying like that, they want to eat every day.

And part of the “fun” is that my daughter wants to help cook. She has great enthusiasm, if not yet great skill, for cooking. So to encourage her, while still making something edible, I really like to have her help when the meal is something simply yet delicious. Like pizza. Now I’ve been making my own pizza for longer than I care to admit. Back in high school (I won’t tell you how many years ago that was) dinner was my job. Not because I wanted to (I was a typical teenager) but because there was simply no one else to do it. So I learned to make pizza from almost scratch (the dough came from a box of dough mix). The cheese got grated by hand, the pepperoni and veggies got sliced by hand. Ok, so the sauce came from a jar too.

The point is, I know how to make pizza via just about every method other than that twirly up in the air trick. Never mastered that.  But now I have a new trick up my sleeve that I like even more, and that is Mama Mary’s ® Pizza Crusts. These allow me to focus on the fun part of making pizza.

Eating it!!

Oh wait, I mean putting on the toppings!! I just spread out a few personal size pizza crusts (I’m personal to thin crust) spread on some sauce and then let my daughter go to town with the cheese and toppings. She gets to have fun and help and I don’t have to worry about any extra ingredients she might want to add, like a full container of Italian seasoning or green food coloring. Then pop them in the oven and it’s off to game night. Talk about a win/win. It’s more like a win/win/win (Pizza/Family/Games).

If you want a fun family pizza/game night, I suggest you go out and get some Mama Mary’s ® pizza crusts. What do you like on your pizza?

And when you are out shopping at Walmart for some Mama Mary’s ® pizza crusts keep an eye out for the fold-out booklet with over $5 in coupons for Mama Mary’s and select other brands.
