As parents, we all dread the day when our little one will get sick but alas, it will or has happened to all of us. Fevers are horrible. Not only does your little one feel awful but so do you because you can’t do much for them. Don’t get me started on trying to get them to take medicine to help either! You chase them around the house and half ends up on you, the floor, the dog, and who knows where else … money says you find it behind the refrigerator next time you move it to clean! Growing up, there was one tried and true thing that mom would always do anytime we were sick with a fever to help us feel better; a cool washcloth on our forehead. Maybe it was all in my head, pardon the pun, but it always made me feel better. My daughter on the other hand, not so much. She is constantly on the go and there is no way she is taking a time out to lie down to rest and relax. The problem, she is still sick and we still need something to help her feel better.

Enter Cool Gel N Cap.

The Cool Gel N Cap was created to make sickness just a little bit more bearable for kids and parents. It is the perfect first aid cap where you place a small gel pack into the cap and it holds the cold pack to your wee ones forehead, without the need of their hands, to help relieve the heat and give some comfort to them when they aren’t feeling well.

As soon as our Cool Gel N Cap arrived my daughter’s comment was, “Mommy that is super cute!” I told her what it was for and she swore she had a fever. I explained the gel pack had to get cold before it would help her fever. We cooled the pack for a short time (we are talking five minutes) and then we had to pull it out because she was “feeling so badly.” She absolutely loved it. The fabric is soft, comforting, and did not itch her head. From my inspection, the quality is fantastic as well. She kept her cap on for about ten minutes before telling me she felt better and then went along with her day.

Of course she was not sick during our trial period but it was nice to “test the waters” before we get to a point where she is cranky and not feeling well. Hopefully when she gets sick with a fever, more than likely this winter, she will remember wearing the cap before and will be willing to try it again. In the meantime, two thumbs up from our family!

My oldest daughter does not like taking medicine. I hate it because I know it would make her feel better. I need to get her one of these for when she is sick and doesn’t want to take her medicine.

Well, it looks silly but it’s a really good idea. When kids are sick or hurt they do tend to be cranky and won’t hold a cloth to their head.
