I’ve been learning a whole lot about CBD oil and one of my most recent discoveries is that they make CBD oil for pets, which I think could really help my dog who suffers from anxiety for just about everything, lol. Seriously, going to the vet is so difficult because of her anxiety and the vet has given me a prescription for her in the past but really, I don’t want to give my dog prescription medication that has who knows what sort of side effects but on another note, she is miserable at times due to her anxiety. So, I’m thrilled to learn there is something out there we can give our dogs for anxiety, but did you know you can use CBD oil for several other health issues as well as wellness for our dogs?
Yes, CBD oil can be used to help our loved pets feel more relaxed from stress, anxiety, depression and even for pain. I’ve read a few articles where people state CBD oil has helped their dogs heal from urination or marking problems, the excessive barking issues, self-trauma, aggression problems, and even cognitive problems. I wish I would have known about CBD oil when my dog Skittles was still around and in his older years. He was still healthy, but he had joint pain, and, in the winter, it was extremely difficult for him to get up and moving in the morning because it hurt.
You can get CBD oil for your pet in a few different forms, but I think the one I am going to try is the CBD oil pet treats! I know right, it’s great for the picky eaters like mine. Plus, you can get the CBD oil pet treats in different flavors.
Dogs and cats can use CBD oil for many of the same reasons we use it because their endocannabinoid systems are very similar to ours. So, our dogs can use it for many of the same reasons we would take CBD oil.
Okay, so we already talked about anxiety but there are other great benefits to using CBD oil with your dogs and more and more people are turning to CBD oil for their fur baby’s treatment. CBD oil has not just opened a whole new world for us, but it has for our furry friends too.
You can use CBD oil to treat a number of issues such as:
- Seizures and epilepsy
- Chronic pain and arthritis
- Increase appetite
- Help with anxiety
- It may prevent and fight cancer
- Neurovegetative disease
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Autoimmune disease
- Cardiovascular disease
However, I wouldn’t feel right without mentioning that it is not recommended to give out pets CBD oil we purchase for ourselves. Medipets makes a line of Pet CBD oil that is designed especially for dogs and cats because of the size difference they make one for cats and three for dogs due to dogs’ variation in size. So, unless you know how to take into account your animals size and body weight I would stick with the CBD oil designed for your dog to be safe.
Plus, while doing a little research about Pet CBD oil I found a dosing system based on your dog’s size to start your dog or cat out on. Personally, I just feel safer going with something I know is designed for my dog.
CBD oil for dogs will not get your dog high. It’s not the same has THC, the CBD oil from hemp has tiny traces of THC which is less than 0.03 percent. With such a tiny amount of THC and the fact that CBD oil comes from hemp and not marijuana, it’s safe to assume your dog will not get high if you give them CBD oil.
Over at Medipets has several different kinds of CBD Pet Treats for your dogs, like:
- Cheese wraps
- Meaty Steak Treats
- Wavy Bacon and Cheese Bites
- Chicken Balls
- Salmon Bites
- Jerky Sticks
- Beef wraps
- Training bites
- Specialty Dog Biscuits
- Cat Café Tartar Control
- Purrs & Puffs for cats
I can’t wait to see what CBD oil does for our lives in the future. They are still researching it and learning so much, I have hopes that the best is yet to come. I think back to when I was a child and I’m amazed by everything we have learned and are not capable of doing so I know it’s not impossible, we just have to continue learning and growing.
I’m seriously thinking about trying the CBD Dog Treats for my dog’s anxiety issues. Have you tried them or used CBD oil for another other reason? If so, can you leave me a comment and let me know the results you had using CBD oil for your dog’s anxiety or other health issues.
