Best Discount Websites

piggy bank with shadesIt’s hardly new news that the ecommerce business is booming. The industry has grown at a rapid annual pace over the last few years and, according to figures put out by Emarketer, ecommerce exceeded $200 billion in sales in 2012 alone. Yes, the only direction this industry is going is up, which means online consumers can expect even more sales and discount websites to flood the Internet.

Many of these sites are helpful because they take the notion of coupons or daily deals and disseminate them throughout cyberspace. Of course, with so many to choose from, consumers can spend more time comparing and contrasting online deal websites than they do comparing and contrasting online products.

So in the interest of narrowing the search, here are some of the top discount websites on the Internet today.

Coupons.com

In the old days, people used to clip coupons found in the Sunday paper in order to receive deals at the local supermarket. Coupons.com takes that same idea and streamlines it in the online world by offering a large variety of printable coupons users can redeem at certain grocery stores and pharmacies. The site features an easy-to-navigate homepage featuring various categories offering coupons on everything from groceries to beauty products.

Slickdeals.com

Those who could use discounts on computer software and products would do well to visit this site. Not only does Slickdeals offer extensive deals on computer products, but it also offers discounts on other electronics as well as clothing and travel. The site also has a lively forum teeming with comments from users about great deals on the site as well as elsewhere.

FatWallet.com

This site features a wide array of deals on everything from kindles to cotton sheets. The best discounts are displayed prominently on the homepage every day and they even feature a list of the top trending deals across the Internet. Probably the most unique feature on offer at FatWallet is the cash-back program that puts money directly in users pockets. All they need to do is sign up for a free cash-back account in order to receive money from retailers after a certain amount of purchases.

CouponMom.com

CouponMom offers printable coupons and even free samples. There are daily deals on grocery items, pharmacy products, restaurants and more. Users can access these coupons via the site’s extensive database and there is even a list of coupons on the national level.

RetailMeNot.com

Another site offering printable coupons as well as online deals. RetailMeNot aggregates deals from across the Internet and presents them on their site according to category. The site also offers discount codes for those online shoppers to redeem right before checkout on their next purchase.

PriceGrabber

Those who like their online deals neatly categorized will find PriceGrabber to be particularly helpful. The site has a comprehensive interface that separates deals by category and subcategory and even compares prices on the same product from retailers across the Internet.

These are just a few of the sites intrepid online shoppers can utilize in order to score the best deals around. The best thing about these options is that they all streamline the process of finding discounts so the users can spend less time hunting and more time purchasing.

Wow, thanks for the information, you've definitely done all the work for us all! I really like the idea of pricegrabber.com. with its categories and subcategories... I sometimes get overwhelmed with the sites that just throw random stuff up.
