I recently had to choose the best camera for under $1,000. I ended up choosing between the Sony A6000 and the Nikon D5300 (DSLR): The A6000 rocks especially if you wanna shoot in motion.
For me, I ended up choosing the Nikon D5300 for 3 REASONS:
– Way more lenses to choose from with Nikon than with Sony
– 40% better battery life than the A6000
– A proper external mic jack (so important if you wanna shoot quality video…)
