Water. We can’t live without it. Especially during the summer months staying hydrated is extremely important. And for most of human history the drink of choice to stay hydrated was water. At least where it was readily available. But I have news for you. While water is essential, it does not have everything you need to replace what gets lost when you sweat. And this is even more important when you are engaged in athletic activities during the summer months. And this is even more more important (yes I did that) when you have little ones engaged in those athletic activities. They need water, but they also need to replace the vitamins and electrolytes that they sweat out. They also need to be encouraged to drink more when they’re engaged in various activities, so it can be important to pack as much punch into what they do drink as possible. It used to be that the only way to do that was questionable sports drinks, full of things you can’t pronounce and tons of sodium. Have you ever heard a doctor say “You need more sodium. Eat a tablespoon of salt with every meal?”
So when our daughter is out playing or at practice, we make sure she has a big jug of water, but we also make sure she has some BODYARMOR.
Here’s what’s great about BODYARMOR. First of all it comes in 8 different flavors, all with names that make sense like orange mango or strawberry banana. Second, it is made from natural flavors, natural sweeteners and it has no artificial colors. . I don’t know about you but as we move into a more processed and chemical laden world, providing more natural hydration is important to me. And especially important for our little one is that it doesn’t have all the sodium that she doesn’t need. So we usually make sure we have a few on hand, but you know what happens if we run out? We print out a handy coupon and stop at a local Kroger, Meijer or Target on our way to soccer practice or a game to make sure she’s good to go.
