ANT-MAN AND THE WASP – “Who is the Wasp?” Featurette

by Heather

I don’t know about you but we are counting down the days until Ant-Man and the Wasp hits theaters!

Did you follow the #AntManAndTheWaspEvent in Los Angeles? It was over the weekend and we shared some of the fun on Twitter! I’m excited to share that on Monday, our family will be attending a local pre-screening of the movie. This will allow us to share a bit more about the film so keep an eye on the blog for our review.

There were a couple of things that I learned during the LA Press Junket that has me super excited for the new Ant-Man movie. First, one of the film’s central themes is the relationship between father and daughter. This is not something that is often explored in movies and we are thrilled to learn more about Scott and Cassie.

Second, there is a huge focus on women and strength and celebrating femininity. I can’t wait to learn more about The Wasp!

Today, we are thrilled to share with you a new featurette that takes a closer look at an important question … “Who is the Wasp?” This new featurette takes a look at the legacy of “The Wasp” from her Super Hero origins in the Marvel comics, as a founding member of the Avengers, to her connections in the next AVENGERS film and the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward.

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes ANT-MAN AND THE WASP, a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP is directed by Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena, Walton Goggins, Bobby Cannavale, Judy Greer, Tip “T.I.” Harris, David Dastmalchian, Hannah John Kamen, Abby Ryder-Fortson, Randall Park, with Michelle Pfeiffer, with Laurence Fishburne and Michael Douglas.
