I cannot lie, I am a fan of the circus. I love the circus; I love movies about the circus. The Greatest Show on Earth. Madagascar 3. The Greatest Showman. Water for Elephants. Before it shut down, I used to go to the circus every year when it came to town. Now I have another circus movie to love, Animal Crackers.
Animal Crackers is the absolutely charming story of a magical circus. The animals in the circus all come from one place, a box of animal crackers, but I’m not going to spill more than that about the movie. Here is what I will say. John Krasinksi and Emily Blunt turn in a lovely performance as a married couple trying to find the joy of life again in the circus, but not by abandoning life to run off and join the circus, but by finding it again when they had lost it. The movie is fun. It is family friendly. Your kids will love it!
Get swept away in a magical adventure as Animal Crackers arrives on Digital and on Demand from Lionsgate. The star-studded cast includes John Krasinski (TV’s “The Office”), Emily Blunt (A Quiet Place franchise), Danny DeVito (Batman Returns), Ian McKellen (The Lord of the Rings franchise), and Sylvester Stallone (Rocky franchise). Animal Crackers will be available for the suggested retail price of $3.99 for Video on Demand and $9.99 for Electronic Sell-Through.
ANIMAL CRACKERS SYNOPSIS
When Owen (John Krasinski) and his family inherit his uncle Bob’s rundown circus, it seems more like a curse than a gift. But it becomes an entryway to magical adventure when Owen is presented with a mysterious box of animal crackers — with the power to transform the bearer into any animal in the box! It looks like the circus will be a success, until Bob’s villainous brother (Sir Ian McKellen) learns about the box…and he will stop at nothing to get it! Featuring Emily Blunt, Danny DeVito, Raven-Symoné, Sylvester Stallone, and more, Animal Crackers is a comedy treat the whole family will enjoy.
