How often do you manicure your fingernails and toenails? Are you amongst the crowd that only has to worry about these types of things once a month? At least, I assume that is the going timeline. Or, are you like me and have to attend to both at least once a week? Yes, I said once a week … A LEAST!
You see, I am part of a very exclusive group known as the Double Edge Sword Slicers. Yep, very exclusive. In fact, I am risking life and limb just for writing this post and exposing them. But, now that I have already stepped in doggy doodoo, which means I will need to check my toenails once I finish up here, I might as well tell all. The Double Edge Sword Slicers are a group of individuals that have to manicure their fingernails and toenails often. The reason for our name you ask? Well, the double edge sword part is because we tend to grow fingernails and toenails rather quickly. However, these are fingernails and toenails that often break father quickly as well. Some members have strong nails, others brittle, we don’t discriminate. The slicers … I think the name speaks for itself. Right?
Whew. That was more difficult than I thought it was going to be. Talk about a touchy topic.
Anyways, as part of this exclusive group, we are always on the lookout for accessories that will make our lives easier. Things like extra thick socks that our toenails won’t rip, fingerless gloves so your fingernails won’t snag them, flip flops or sandals for those days when we simply don’t have time to trim, and perhaps the most obvious, clippers. After being an exclusive, high ranking member (don’t tell the President I said that) of this group for years I can tell you that many clippers have crossed our path but most have not lived up to the challenge.
Then … recently … luck struck and I was given the privilege to introduce our group to Clyppi Clippers!

Both are lightweight, durable, and extremely sharp. While I love that these two clippers are lightweight and durable, my favorite thing about them is actually how sharp they are. This allows for smooth, precise cuts. This is great for someone with thicker nails, like me, or someone that moves around a lot, like my 5-year-old.
After the single clippers, there is the Clyppi Clipper Set. To put it simply, this set includes the fingernail clipper and nail clipper. In other words, what we talked about above. The fingernail clipper is approximately 2.6 inches long and the toenail clipper is 3.4 inches long so there is not a great deal of difference but it is noticeable. Once again, it is important to note that the products are lightweight, durable, and sharp. The design of Clyppi Clippers, which provides a comfort hold, allows the user to have a firm grip on the clipper handle which is especially important when dealing with thicker nails.
So why do you need a clipper set? That is simple. Think about the angle at which you cut your fingernails versus your toenails. For me, this is especially important since my toenails are stronger than my fingernails. I like to have the extra gripping room, the leverage if you will, when working on a more difficult nail. The added length allows a firmer grip that ends in a successful smooth finish versus multiple cuts that result in my toenail being jagged or uneven.
My favorite of all of the products is the Clyppi Clipper Set with Travel Pouch. Why? First, because I take my clippers with me anytime I travel. Second, the pouch allows me to keep my clippers in one place at all times; neatly tucked inside their little home. This is especially helpful when you live with a man child and five-year-old that like to open the bathroom drawer and route around for this, that, or something else. The pouch protects my clippers to keep them sharp, reduces the chance of my daughter wounding her finger, and it makes things simple when I am packing for a trip last minute (like I will be tonight).
I can’t say enough about Clyppi Clipper products and how thankful I am to have found them. Clippers may seem like a strange thing to get excited about but when you belong to a large, exclusive group, everyone wants to contribute something! It’s kinda nice being the cool kid in the group. I’m trying to get everyone to refer to me as Queen Clyppi but I’m not sure that is going to pan out. I’ll get back to you!
