Altec Lansing Rockbox XL Speaker at Best Buy

RockboxI love the summer. Just kidding. I really don’t. I love the winter. The cold and snow and drinking hot cocoa while sitting around a blazing fire in the fire pit. But it isn’t winter right now, in case you weren’t aware. It’s August. Hot, dry August. And August is good for only one thing. Swimming. But sometimes you don’t have a pool. Like me. I don’t have a pool. So, when you don’t have a pool you have to settle for the next best thing, a warm bath.

Just kidding.

The next best thing to a pool is running around in a sprinkler. Everyone loves it. Remember when you were a kid running around in the sprinkler? I do. It was a blast.

These days things have evolved a bit. I don’t mean about sprinklers, those are still pretty standard. What I’m talking about is the accoutrements that go with sprinkling (or is it sprinklering?). Back in my day, if you wanted to enjoy some music with your sprinklerizing, you had to open a whole lot of windows and blare your HI-FI (no, not Wi-FI you young whippersnapper) or hope your parents had a portable radio (can you say “mono”?). We could also only watch cartoons on Saturday morning, but I digress.

Luckily, we have slightly better sound accompaniment now and I just got my hands on one example, the Altec Lansing Rockbox XL. This is an incredible speaker, and it’s perfect for summertime splashing.

To start with, the Rockbox XL is WATERPROOF. Yes, you read that right. It’s waterproof. So, you can take it to the pool (or sprinkler) and not worry about it getting wet. Not only is it waterproof, it floats. So not only do you not have to worry about it getting ruined if it gets wet, you don’t have to worry about it sinking to the bottom of the Mariana Trench. If it falls in the water, just grab it and put in on dry land (or leave it floating if that is your thing).

The next best thing is that it has a huge battery life (20 hours) and a built-in charging port. So, if you don’t have an outlet handy you can plug your phone into the speaker to charge. That is what I call convenient.

So, if you need a cool looking speaker (did I mention all the awesome lighting effects?) that is built to withstand the rough summer environment you need to check out the Altec Lansing Rockbox XL at Best Buy today.
