I am not sure you need to wash them as often as you say. Mine are in the wash now maybe for the 2nd time and they work fine.

I have had them less then 3 yrs and I have a wear spot in the flat sheet. After reading this I did everything wrong in the care of them. I used hot water, bleach and regular heat when drying. Thank you so much for the info, I just purchased another set. I hope to have them longer now since I won’t be using bleach, fabric softner or high temps on them. Thanks again.
