She used to just pick up the toys herself if the kids refused to and told them whatever she picks up is getting sold or tossed. IMO of course that isn’t a good idea since you bought the toys and this method is prob punishing you more than the kid. She then revised it to where she will pick up and put toys and stuff in a box in here room where the kids will get toys back when they do nice things.

One way my mother would get me to pick stuff up is to offer me “chips” bingo chips that she would give me and at the end of the week she would set up a “store” where she would get various things and price them with chips.
